I'll be breaking bread with Kim! Please visit her blog and read about her family and what they are doing in His name.
As for the rest of the week, I'm going to have to work a little harder on my own. We missed church yesterday while traveling (we can still watch it on line, thank God), and my study group isn't meeting this week : (
Who knows what God's plan is for me this week, though? I'm sure it will be just what I need. Praying you get what you need, too,
Cecelia

Windy! And this week's RSVP
I am so lucky to be breaking bread with Windy this week. Windy, please email me your contact information & address at SisterCecelia@yahoo.com so I can mail your gift card to you . (Sorry about misspelling your name earlier!).
Be sure to leave a comment & maybe I'll be breaking bread with YOU next week.
So, apart from the awesome church I get to attend, I'm also participating in a women's ministry study group. I really wanted to join a group so I'd be more dedicated to reading God's word. I felt so strongly about it that I've had to leave my daughter with a babysitter an extra morning each week. We're following Kay Arthur's Precept on the book of John. It's a really great study, but I am also blessed to breaking bread with other ladies from the church I wouldn't otherwise get an opportunity to get to know.
On the very first day of the study, one of the group leaders passed around index cards for each of us to make a prayer request. The cards were divided by the 2 group leaders, and they are praying for each of us every day. Then the group members swap prayer requests each week for new things that croup up in our lives. I love getting to pray for someone each week, and knowing someone is praying for me each week makes be feel so lucky/blessed.
Do you guys have any specific prayer requests this week?

And this week
I'll be breaking bread with Angel!
Someone asked to learn a little more about me, and I certainly think that's fair since we'll be fellowshipping with one another. I DON'T want this blog to be about me, though. It's really about something God called us to do, so if you feel like you have to give someone thanks or credit, it's all His.
I'm 40 years old, the mother of two, and wife of one very special man. I struggle all the time with the question, "What does God want me to do?" Sure, there are many things I know I am SUPPOSED to do: love my neighbor as Jesus has loved me, love my husband, etc. But, I still ask what is God's big mission for me? He may not have a big mission for me, He may want me to do lots of little things, and I'm not sure of the way all the time. Still, I'm listening, and I know He knows that.
Feel free to share something about yourself in this week's RSVP (comments) for the Sunday, October 19th drawing. I'll be praying for all of you this week! May your hearts be full of Hope, may your plates be full, and may your nights be peaceful.
Finally, I'd like to encourage each of you to go to We Are That Family to learn more about One Day to Give.

Hold the *Spam*, please...
The blog was down for the first part of the week, and I apologize if you weren't able to RSVP. Really, I'd done nothing wrong, but something about the blog caused it to be flagged as a possible *spam* blog. I hope you'll all come back and leave a post under the Dinner Anyone post below. Thanks for joining us or checking back in!

Dinner Anyone?
I'll be breaking bread with Michelle this week! And I'll be adding Angel's comment to this week's list of invitations since she entered after midnight, but there wasn't a new invitation list started. I'll try to figure out how to schedule publication postings for next week.
Thanks to everyone who responded! I wish I could take you all out to eat at the same time, but Jesus hasn't given me a loaves and fishes multitude miracle. And any way, this is more intimate for right now.
I'll pray that each and every one of you has a terrific week this week. Stay healthy, stay close to God, and don't forget to RSVP (leave a comment so I can break bread with YOU next week).
Love,
Cecelia

Introduction and 1st Fellowship Give Away
Giveaway!!! I'll be giving something YOU could enjoy. Read the intro, leave a comment by midnight Sunday, and I'll use the random number generator to select the recipient.
Last night, or technically this morning since it was 1:00 AM, wasn't what you'd call a good one. I woke up hotter than you could imagine with a tummy ache that is always a sign that I am about to break out in hives. Ok, you may be saying, so you were hot and itchy. Big deal. It CAN be a big deal. I have gone into anaphylactic shock before which led to a trip to the ER. Fortunately, my husband, benadryl, and the rest of the night's sleep were all that were necessary for me to recover. Unfortunately, the benadryl made me so sleepy I missed first service this morning.
I love my church, though, so I got up while my husband and daughter went to first service, and got ready for church. I hate to miss church. I'm serious, ya'll. I get up on Sunday morning full of anticipation of what I'll learn at church. It's not a church where we only hear about God's blessings, it's not a Hell's fire & brimstone church, it IS just exactly the church I'm supposed to go attend.
I am so glad I did. I think you will be glad, too. Today's message was about the church in Acts. One of the highlights is that we're supposed to fellowship together, to break bread with one another. In Acts, the church members provided for the needs of one another.
I want to break bread with you. Maybe we'll never meet face to face for that to happen, but I'm going to reach out to you anyway. Each week, for as long as I can, I am going to send a gift card out to someone who leaves a comment that week. So, leave a comment. Even if you're not a believer, I'll pray for you and send you a gift card. My plan is to find a restaurant in your zip code or close by, and I'll mail you a gift card toward your meal. I hope you'll go with someone you love or someone who is lonely and fellowship with him or her, but it's not a rule. Just go break bread knowing that someone out here loves you and wants good things to happen in your life.
