And this week

I'll be breaking bread with Angel!

Someone asked to learn a little more about me, and I certainly think that's fair since we'll be fellowshipping with one another. I DON'T want this blog to be about me, though. It's really about something God called us to do, so if you feel like you have to give someone thanks or credit, it's all His.

I'm 40 years old, the mother of two, and wife of one very special man. I struggle all the time with the question, "What does God want me to do?" Sure, there are many things I know I am SUPPOSED to do: love my neighbor as Jesus has loved me, love my husband, etc. But, I still ask what is God's big mission for me? He may not have a big mission for me, He may want me to do lots of little things, and I'm not sure of the way all the time. Still, I'm listening, and I know He knows that.

Feel free to share something about yourself in this week's RSVP (comments) for the Sunday, October 19th drawing. I'll be praying for all of you this week! May your hearts be full of Hope, may your plates be full, and may your nights be peaceful.

Finally, I'd like to encourage each of you to go to We Are That Family to learn more about One Day to Give.

Okay that will do for now but you must share more eventually! lol

We live in Texas and are becoming a missionary family; in the process of selling all of our worldy possessions and moving next summer to Puebla, Mexico to spread the Gospel! We have two older children (20 and 24) and two three year olds that drive us crazy; make us laugh and cause us to sleep deeply at night from exhaustion!

I know God will reveal what He wants you to do. Sometimes it's just the smallest things that make such a big difference. Thanks for sharing.

This is a cool idea. Thanks for thinking of it. You talked about God's mission for you, and wondering sometimes if it's going to be something big or small. That's something I ponder over, too. And I keep concluding that He just wants me to be faithful in what He puts before me today. It is neat to think that our homes, our ordinary lives, can be used by Him in unexpected ways to bless others.
