Introduction and 1st Fellowship Give Away

Giveaway!!! I'll be giving something YOU could enjoy. Read the intro, leave a comment by midnight Sunday, and I'll use the random number generator to select the recipient.

Last night, or technically this morning since it was 1:00 AM, wasn't what you'd call a good one. I woke up hotter than you could imagine with a tummy ache that is always a sign that I am about to break out in hives. Ok, you may be saying, so you were hot and itchy. Big deal. It CAN be a big deal. I have gone into anaphylactic shock before which led to a trip to the ER. Fortunately, my husband, benadryl, and the rest of the night's sleep were all that were necessary for me to recover. Unfortunately, the benadryl made me so sleepy I missed first service this morning.

I love my church, though, so I got up while my husband and daughter went to first service, and got ready for church. I hate to miss church. I'm serious, ya'll. I get up on Sunday morning full of anticipation of what I'll learn at church. It's not a church where we only hear about God's blessings, it's not a Hell's fire & brimstone church, it IS just exactly the church I'm supposed to go attend.

I am so glad I did. I think you will be glad, too. Today's message was about the church in Acts. One of the highlights is that we're supposed to fellowship together, to break bread with one another. In Acts, the church members provided for the needs of one another.

I want to break bread with you. Maybe we'll never meet face to face for that to happen, but I'm going to reach out to you anyway. Each week, for as long as I can, I am going to send a gift card out to someone who leaves a comment that week. So, leave a comment. Even if you're not a believer, I'll pray for you and send you a gift card. My plan is to find a restaurant in your zip code or close by, and I'll mail you a gift card toward your meal. I hope you'll go with someone you love or someone who is lonely and fellowship with him or her, but it's not a rule. Just go break bread knowing that someone out here loves you and wants good things to happen in your life.

What a wonderful way to selflessly encourage others to be givers! I pray daily for my kiddos to have giving hearts and strive to be like Christ.

What a wonderful idea. If we could all take the time to break bread with someone during the week. Thanks for the inspiration.

What a great idea! I love fellowship! My husband is always preaching on koinonia...the Greek word for fellowship. The wonderful thing about fellowship with God is that you can't wait to share it with others! He is just so thrilling and adventurous that we just can't keep Him to ourselves! Glad I have met you and will save you in my favorites!
Love, Kim
